The Oilers have signed defenceman Darnell Nurse to a three-year entry level contract.
The Oilers took Nurse, 18, seventh overall in this year's draft. He played in the OHL for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds last season, recording 12 goals and 29 assists in 68 games. He added four points in six playoff games.
Nurse was the OHL's Scholastic Player of the Year for 2012-13, posting an 85% average in six Grade 12 University Prep courses. (jrw)
