Staff at a downtown Edmonton Tim Horton's are scratching their heads wondering what could inspire someone to buy over 800 dollars worth of coffee for strangers.
That’s just what happened at a downtown Tim's on Monday. Store Manager Joanne Averion says after inquiring how many coffees the store sold in a day a young man asked her to ring in 500 coffee's in addition to his large double double and Boston Cream donut.
He then asked her to give out the 859 dollars worth of coffee to the next 500 customers. Averion says customers were thrilled though some didn't believe her until they saw the receipt. (tk/cp)
